Many psychologists and educators believe that this fact has a negative effect on development. There are many reasons for decreasing of play levels. One of them is a consequence from the very extreme changes in the tool of play – the toy. The toy reflects the culture. The main purpose of this paper is to analyze and summarize the basic dimensions of this process and to correlate them to their effect on child’s play and development.
